Postponement : Tirzo Martha / No Excuses!
Dear friends / Due to the late arrival of my art works in The Netherlands we hereby have to postpone the opening of my solo exhibition No Excuses! on the 13th of October.
The ship carrying the container with my artworks was forced to seek safe harbour in Jamaica because of the 2 destructive hurricanes that passed through the Caribbean. This caused a delay and the art works are arriving later then expected. Only two days ago we’ve been informed about this situation. We’ve planned the opening now for the 3rd of November. We’ll send a new invitation to confirm this new date.

Dit najaar strijkt Tirzo Martha (Willemstad, Curaçao, 1965) neer in Scheveningen. Museum Beelden aan Zee presenteert de eerste solotentoonstelling van de vermaarde Curaçaose beeldhouwer en performancekunstenaar in Nederland. Alle tentoongestelde kunstwerken zijn nieuw en speciaal voor deze tentoonstelling gemaakt.
In de loop van de tentoonstelling wordt in samenwerkingsverband een monumentale installatie gecreëerd: het Monument van het Samen. Het publiek is getuige van dit proces in de grote zaal van het museum.
