Celebrating the release of the fully illustrated text Three Caribbean Artists by LM Publishing, Republiek Gallery is proud to present the work of José Maria Capricorne, Nelson Carrilho and Philippe Zanolino.
Soaring beyond the exoticised image of the Caribbean, these artists uphold the rich monumentality of local scenes, their visionary use of colour and symbolism characterising their imaging and imagining of the Caribbean across the decades. Spanning paintings, drawings and sculpture, At Least One Hundred Eyes traces the power and impact of these artists.
