Come and visit ‘Tera Percussions’ by local artists Tatiana Saturnino – Felix. This exhibition features various hand-made percussion instruments and accompanies ceramic works and Paintings by Julie Kooijman.

Mr. Saturnino was born in Curaçao. He started to play percussion when he was 9. In 1982, just when he turned 19, he decided to study music seriously at F.I.M. (Foundation Institution of Music) and graduated in 1986. In 1988 Pernell moved to Boston, USA, to study at Berklee College of Music. At Berklee, he won two awards: Most Outstanding Percussionist in 1992 and Latin Percussion Award, 1994. Through the years he recorded and preformed with many internationally renowned artists like Joe Zawinul, Hermeto Pascoal, Chucho Valdez, Cachao, Michael Gibbs, Gilberto Gil, Danilo Pérez, Oscar Stagnaro, Rebecca Paris, Paquito D’Rivera and many more.
End of Year Concert
Saturday December 29, 2012 starting at 7 pm in the hofi area outside features a mix of various local artists like Ompi Tio, Marvin Snijders, Pernell Saturnino, Niata Augusta, Gody, Anouk Noorden, Clark Elisabeth, Alberto Blanco, Pernell Saturnino, Shandrelica Casper, Hershel Rosario, Rochi Mathews, Marlon “Lonte” Conradus, Stanley Betrian, Dean McCarthy, Roderick Volk, Magou, Krystle Rosario, Maruja Boogaard en Irma Philbert.
Come and enjoy some Aguinaldo and Tambu to end the year swinging! Tickets are available for purchase for ANG. 17.50 at Landhuis Bloemhof and Tatiana Saturnino – Felix. Ticket sale revenues go towards the purchase of Tatiana’s much needed tools for making her sought after percussion instruments.
