The conference will be held on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October 2021 at the universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht.

The Amsterdam School for Cultural Analysis (ASCA), Amsterdam School of Historical Studies (ASH), and Institute for Cultural Inquiry (ICON) are co-convening a two-day conference on the cultural imagination of slavery. The conference will be held on Thursday 28 and Friday 29 October 2021 at the universities of Amsterdam and Utrecht. The aims and motivations for the conference can be found below. read on…Een Engelstalig tijdschrift over neerlandistiek
De internationalisering van de neerlandistiek is altijd een teer punt geweest. Want wie buiten de grenzen van het Nederlandse taalgebied zou er nou in die ‘marginale’ literatuur geïnteresseerd zijn? Inhoudelijk wordt er aan die internationalisering, overal in Nederland, Vlaanderen en daarbuiten, al volop gewerkt. In Amsterdam bijvoorbeeld in de opleiding Comparatieve Neerlandistiek, een samenwerking met de Freie Universität Berlin. En ook op andere plekken vervagen de grenzen tussen bijvoorbeeld neerlandistiek en anglistiek of literatuurwetenschap, Nederlandse letterkunde en Mediastudies. Maar het was lang wachten tot er ook een Engelstalig vaktijdschrift kwam dat de resultaten van de zich verbredende letterkundige neerlandistiek voor internationale literatuurwetenschappers toegankelijk maakt. Een tijdschrift dat de strengste internationale academische kwaliteitseisen hanteert en óók compromisloos focust op Nederlandse literatuur in de wereld.
