Puerto Rican Salsa & Heritage Festival

Join Puerto Rican Folkloric Dance as we celebrate our rich culture with
our annual Salsa & Heritage Festival. This year’s celebration brings ancestral Bomba traditions to Austin with Bomba Elder & Master and LP artist, Jorge Emmanuelli Nater — and members of his group — who will join PRFDance in an exciting joint performance. Bring your dancing shoes and join us in a Bombazo (Bomba Dance)!

Our heritage festival will also feature the hottest Salsa in Central Texas with Orquesta Trabuko, performances by our PRFD performing arts students, and comida criolla (food for sale) by Chago’s Caribbean Cuisine. We will once again welcome artisans from Texas and beyond who will be presenting their original creations.

The Celebrando 2014 – Salsa & Bomba Festival will take place on June 21, 2014, 7pm-11:30pm at the Ballroom of the Jewish Community Campus, 7300 Hart Lane, Austin, TX 78731. Doors will open at 6:30pm. Tables are first-come-first-served. So come early and grab a table, visit the artisans, eat, dance, relax, and celebrate — Puerto Rican style! Admission: $15 Advance/$18 Door, $7 children (12 & under), 2 and under free. Tickets are now on sale:
