All of us gathered here: Adelibe Grégoire ove Miguel Keervelds Zócalo
Kunstenaar, onafhankelijk curator en schrijver Adeline Grégoire – oprichter van HOT SUN Caribbean Contemporary Art – reflecteert op Miguel Keervelds groep-solo tentoonstelling ZÓCALO in Readytex Art Gallery in het artikel All of Us Gathered Here.
De titel verwijst naar ‘zócalo’, wat het centrale plein betekent – een openbare ontmoetingsplaats – en Keervelds radicale concept om een solo-expositie tegelijkertijd als groepstentoonstelling te presenteren. In een boeiend interview met de kunstenaar duikt Adeline dieper in Keervelds creatieve proces dat leidde tot ZÓCALO. In haar slotbeschouwing schrijft ze: “As I reflect on the motivations (…) and aspirations which propelled this exhibition—I enjoyed seeing Keerveld’s awareness of impact and the (r)evolutionary imperative to decolonize, unearth, and disrupt what we have learnt.”
