Cold War & Contemporary Culture Wars

The Modern History Research Group of the University of Amsterdam invites you to attend a talk by Professor Todd Weir (Faculty of Theology and Religious Studies, Groningen) on Wednesday 7 February. Todd’s paper is entitled: “A Prehistory of Post-Truth: What Cold War Debates Over Worldview Teach Us About Contemporary Culture Wars.”

Todd’s research has focused on secularism, religion, transnationalism, and ‘culture wars’ in Germany and other countries during the 19th century, Weimar Republic, and the Cold War. You can read more about Todd’s background here.
